This book is part of a complex collaboration that involves two editions of books.
Introduction: As he recovered from a bone marrow transplant, a process of death and rebirth, my brother wrote 57 poems. He sent them to me, asking for 57 drawings. As his match and donor, I allowed myself to draw without contraint. I sent the drawings back, asking him to reinterpret them, resulting in this reborn long poem. The original Danish text was published with the same images like a trade edition. Each book with different text, like a mirror. It available from Forlaget Politisk Revy, Copenhagen Denmark..
Thirty copies of this book were printed in Hoosick, New York by the artist using ten lithographic plates on an S&S DUFA 4. Its sister book was published in Denmark with the original Danish text and the same drawings. The new text in English here, is in an effect its third translation.
The book is entirely printed using lithographic plates and inks, Bound in a paper covers by Amy Borezo at Shelter Bookworks, and includes a drop spine box.
Edition: 1-25 on Kankoshi handmade paper, I-V on Kozo machine made paper.
